LOCAL SKILLS IMPROVEMENT PLAN
Your Input. Their Skills. Everyone's Future!

Employers can shape skills and their future workforce in Berkshire with the Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP), led by the Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce and funded by the Department for Education.

The Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce represents the voice of business across the region, working as part of a national Chamber network delivering the majority of Local Skills Improvement Plans (LSIPs).

Across Berkshire and Oxfordshire, we now engage with tens of thousands of employers, with meaningful, ongoing involvement from businesses of all sizes and sectors. This growing reach enables us to build strong, long-term relationships between employers and training providers, supporting the co-development of practical, employer-led solutions to local skills and workforce challenges.

Employer insight sits at the heart of our work. It shapes how we address skills shortages, workforce development and recruitment needs, and guides our priorities as the region’s economy evolves. Our approach is grounded in pragmatism and partnership, focused on delivering tangible outcomes that positively impact the local employment and skills landscape across the Thames Valley.
